In this study, we are investigating the use of an experimental topical treatment for Papulopustular Rosacea. This treatment is a topical gel containing synthetic cannabidiol (CBD), a product which occurs naturally in the cannabis/marijuana plant. This is an experimental treatment and is not yet an approved treatment in Australia.
The cause of Papulopustular Rosacea is still unknown, and there is no cure for the condition. The purpose of the study is to investigate the safety, tolerability and efficacy of the gel in patients with Papulopustular Rosacea.
The product is formulated into a topical gel which will be applied twice per day to affected areas of the face throughout the study.
The clinical study will run for approximately 11 weeks and will include 5 study visits to our medical practice over this time, each time seeing the study doctor.
