AppointmentJim Malcolm has particular interests in the assessment and treatment of emotional and psychological problems associated with anxiety, depression and worry; concerns associated with sexuality and sexual identity; problematic drug and alcohol use; and life adjustment issues. He has had extensive experience teaching clinical psychology practice in a university setting and is committed to evidence based practice. He has also conducted and published research in the area of male sexual identity development, bisexuality and internalised homophobia. Dr Malcolm is a member of the College of Clinical Psychologists, the Australian Medical and Professional Society on Alcohol and Drugs and an Associate Member of the International Academy of Sex Research.
AppointmentGuy has worked in psychology for over 16 years and has practiced as a clinical psychologist for 12 years. Guy specialises in a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties, ranging from depression, anxiety, anger, sexuality, self-esteem, relationship difficulties, HIV/AIDS, smoking cessation, and child, adolescent and family psychology.
AppointmentClaire Weightman has had 20 years experience as a practicing psychologist in clinical, corporate, government and educational settings throughout Australia. She specialises in treatment of depressive and anxiety disorders, trauma exposure and obsessive compulsive disorders. Claire has expertise in both dyadic relationship and individual counseling. She tailors her approach to individual treatment needs, combining CBT, Gestalt, positive psychology, narrative, psychodynamic and brief, solution focused interpersonal therapies. She also teaches mindfulness meditation and deep relaxation methods.
AppointmentMichael is a psychotherapist experienced in working with individuals and couples. His technique is interactive and supportive; he focuses on understanding the client's world. He helps the client make sense of their experience and through this enhance their agency, their internal organisation and their understanding of themselves. As a result of this work the client develops a capacity to address a broad range of personal issues whether they be emotional, developmental, personality, relationship based or simply the desire to move forward in their lives.
AppointmentStewart has trained as a Social Worker (UNSW), Adult Psychotherapist (ANZAP) and Organisational Development Consultant (RMIT). He has over 20 years of professional experience in counselling & consulting roles in both public health and private practice. At Holdsworth House, Stewart offers counselling, therapy and coaching for individuals and couples. Areas of specialisation include depression, anxiety, relationships, self esteem issues, repetitive problem patterns (feeling stuck), sexuality & intimacy, unresolved trauma, grief, life direction and workplace issues.
