His particular interests are holistic general practice, clinical research, HIV medicine, STDs, travel medicine, and hypnotherapy. He has completed his Masters in Medicine, HIV and Sexual Health from University of Sydney, and he is a past President of the Sexual Health Society of NSW. He is the director of clinical trials at Holdsworth House, co-joint lecturer at University of NSW, and a member of medical advisory boards.
AppointmentDr Quan has been a director at Holdsworth House since its inception in 1992. His particular interests are Sexual Health, HIV, Hepatitis and virology. Dr Quan has served on many committees in health, HIV and sexual health field including the Anabolic Steroid Reference Committee at NSW Health Department. Having worked with ancillary health professionals to develop a holistic approach to wellness, he has created Holdsworth House as a facility that embraces integrated health using a care team approach to optimise health. Dr Quan supports ongoing education by speaking at conferences and tutored in Community Medicine at the University of NSW. Dr Quan has diverse interests and also serves on many art advisory boards.
AppointmentAndrew has been a doctor in Sydney since 1992 prior to joining Holdsworth House as a Sydney doctor in 1998. As a director of Holdsworth House, he has been a key force in developing Holdsworth House into what is today. He is particularly interested in men's wellness, HIV, hepatitis C and herpes, and he has published in these areas. He has been a board member of the Australian Society for HIV Medicine (ASHM) and a chairman of the Australia Herpes Management Forum General Practice Working Group. Andrew is actively involved in peer education and also responsible for the clinical management of the Byron Bay medical centre.
AppointmentPrior to joining Holdsworth House in 2009, Michael has worked in a range of locations, from inner city practices to remote regions of Australia, from on the seas to overseas. Michael describes himself as a true "generalist" with diverse experience including: Womens and Mens health, indigenous health, emergency medicine, palliative care, and STIs including HIV. He promotes a balanced lifestyle approach. Michael has a Diploma from the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists and is a Fellow of both the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine.
AppointmentDavid's particular interests are sexual health, gay men's wellness, anxiety, and preventative medicine. He has completed the advanced training in family medicine and is a Fellow of the College of General Practitioners. Holding a Masters of Psychological Medicine, David has been mentoring and training recent graduate doctors in general practice for a number of years. He has also been published in Current Therapeutics. David has been a Sydney doctor at Holdsworth House since 1994.
AppointmentGail graduated from Sydney University having completed Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery, and Bachelor of Health Science degrees as a mature aged student. Specialising in antenatal care, Gail provides complete pregnancy care. She is an accredited Shared Care GP affiliated and accredited by all Sydney hospitals. She has a Certificate in Family Planning and has a particular interest in holistic medicine, women's health, sexual and reproductive health, menopause, as well as counselling / lifestyle changes. Gail has been a Sydney doctor at Holdsworth House since 2002.
AppointmentErcel has been a doctor in Sydney since 1999; he was a doctor at hospitals and a General Practitioner ( GP ) in numerous private practices. Ercel joined Holdsworth House as a Sydney doctor in 2002. He is experienced in the treatment of STDs, HIV, and hepatitis C. His interests are general medicine, paediatric medicine, and mental health counselling. He has completed a degree in Molecular Genetics as well as a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery from Sydney University. Ercel has also co-investigated numerous clinical trials.
AppointmentHsin-Hua has been a doctor in Sydney since 2000. Specialising in HIV treatments, Hsin-Hua is qualified to provide full treatment for both men and women living with HIV. His special interests are men's wellness, sexual health, and HIV. Apart from being an examiner for The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners clinical examinations, Hsin-Hua is also a clinical associate of the University of Sydney. Hsin-Hua joined Holdsworth House as a Sydney doctor since 2004 and he is currently completing a Masters degree in Medicine.
AppointmentJane's interests are general Medicine, women's wellness, paediatrics, geriatrics, sports injuries, muscular-skeletal problems, preventative medicine, and psychotherapy. She joined Holdsworth House in 2006 after working as a doctor on Sydney North Shore, as well as Royal North Shore Hospital for 5 years. Previously Jane was a physiotherapist for 7 years, and then she undertook a Masters of Public Health and worked in asthma research. In addition to her FPA certificate in Sexual and Reproductive Health, she is currently completing a Masters of Medicine in Psychotherapy from The University of Sydney.
AppointmentCaroline has been a doctor in Sydney since 1987. She has extensive clinical experience helping clients make healthy changes for life. Her areas of expertise include weight management, fitness, stress management, smoking cessation and medical hypnotherapy. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine / Bachelor of Surgery from the University of NSW. On graduation she was awarded the prize for most outstanding achievement in community medicine. She joined Holdsworth House as a Sydney doctor since June 2006.
Juliette brings skills in women's wellness including cervical smear tests and Implanon (contraceptive implant) insertion / removal. She has special interests in children, skin diseases, preventative health and chronic disease management. She believes in a balanced, whole-person approach, where information and patient empowerment is the key to well-being. Juliette graduated from the University of Tasmania in 1997 with a Bachelor of Medicine and a Bachelor of Surgery. She completed her fellowship (FRACGP) in Victoria in early 2004. Juliette joined Holdsworth House as a Sydney doctor in early 2007.
AppointmentKate joined HHMP in early 2001. She specialises in all aspects of women's health (including family planning) and has extensive experience in men's health, sexual health, travel medicine, and preventative medicine. Kate has completed advanced training in family medicine and combines this knowledge with an integrative and holistic approach to promoting good health.
