PROFILE - BRIEF HISTORY
Holdsworth House General Practice (HHGP) was founded in 1992 by Dr. Mark Bloch, Dr. Dick Quan, and Dr. Chris Duncombe, as an amalgamation of 3 private practices.
The creation of HHGP was motivated by a desire to share professional knowledge, expand the facilities available in one location, and provide patients with constant and comprehensive health care.
In 1994 Dr David Austin became a Director and Dr Andrew Gowers in 1998. Dr Duncombe left in 1998. Dr Austin ceased to be a Director in December 2005, but remains on as an associate doctor
HHGP has grown to include a semi-autonomous Research Unit, and a broad range of committed specialist practitioners under Holdsworth House Health (HHH)
Holdsworth House Dental Practice (HHDP) opened its doors in July 2002 with Dr Trevor Morris setting up dental practice at Holdsworth House.
Holdsworth House General Practice (HHGP) was rebranded to Holdsworth House Medical Practice (HHMP) in 2003
Holdsworth House Medical Practice (Rainleigh Pty Ltd) and Holdsworth House Dental Practice (HHDP Pty Ltd) are both run by two Boards of Directors.
A Practice Manager for HHMP reports directly to the GM (Renvia Kong) who working with the Board of Directors has overall responsibility strategic and financial management.
