MEDICAL PRACTICE - RESEARCH UNIT
Pioneering Health Research
Working with all of the doctors and health practitioners
and contributing to their expertise is a Research Unit
established when HHMP was formed. This innovative support
for the practice through its own clinical trials has
resulted in the Unit becoming an important participant
in Australian and international trials.
The benefits of research in various fields are passed
on to patients, sometimes as treatment options. One
of our practice’s specialisations is in HIV and
AIDS. Establishing this expertise has resulted partly
from devoting substantial resources of the Research
Unit to clinical trials of HIV and AIDS treatments.
