Enhanced Primary Care (EPC) is an arrangement in which a patient's preferred treating doctor coordinates the development of team care plans, consisting of allied health practitioners, specialists and / or dentists, to help with the successful management and care of their health needs. In the past, Medicare has not offered a rebate on allied health services, but with the introduction of EPC, this is no longer the case.
Our doctors will work out a care plan that is best suited to the management of the patient's health needs. Once the EPC plan is in place, the patient will be able to access eligible allied health and / or dental care services identified in the plan, on referral from their doctor.
As Holdsworth House Medical Practice has allied health practitioners consulting on site, implementing a new care plan is as easy as asking the receptionist to book the initial appointment. The current on site allied health practitioners recognized by the EPC scheme are:

In order to claim money back in a hassle free manner from Medicare, we advise that patient's allow three working days from the consult with the Holdsworth House doctor before taking the allied health service receipts into Medicare for processing.
For the first visit with an allied health practitioner, patient's need to bring the EPC form and the referral, which has been signed and given to them by the doctor. For any consecutive visits, the patient's information will be kept on file, so a referral will not need to be produced each visit.
